Geological Context

The manganese deposits are primarily hosted within the Katanga Supergroup, a geologically rich Neoproterozoic sequence. Mineralization occurs in stratabound lenses, supergene-enriched laterites, and structurally controlled basins. These deposits exhibit excellent grade consistency and favorable mining conditions.

Mineralogy

Dominant manganese minerals include Cryptomelane, Pyrolusite, Psilomelane, and Hollandite, with gangue minerals such as kaolinite, quartz, calcite, and minor iron oxides.
