Lithium Ore
Origin
Zambia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Madagascar and South Africa.
Overview
Kresta Earth Resources Limited supplies high-quality Lithium Ore, primarily in the form of spodumene and lepidolite, with Li₂O content ranging from 4%–6.5%. Our lithium is critical for the global transition to clean energy, powering batteries, electric vehicles, renewable storage systems, and high-performance glass and ceramics.
Key Features
- Li₂O Grade: 4%–6.5%
- Form: Spodumene and lepidolite ore, crushed and sized
- Impurities: Low Fe₂O₃, controlled Na₂O and K₂O
- Moisture: Less than 2%
Applications
- Lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide production
- Rechargeable batteries for EVs, electronics, and energy storage
- Glass and ceramics industry
- Specialty greases, lubricants, and polymers
Geological Context
Lithium mineralization occurs in pegmatite-hosted deposits within granitic terrains of Zambia and Southern Africa. These pegmatites are rich in spodumene, lepidolite, and petalite, formed during late-stage magmatic processes with high lithium enrichment.
Deposit Types:
- Pegmatite-hosted spodumene and lepidolite deposits
- Alluvial/eluvial secondary lithium accumulations
Host Rocks:
- Granitic pegmatites
- Quartz-mica schists and gneisses
- Metasediments adjacent to granitic intrusions
Mineralogy
Dominant lithium minerals include Spodumene, Lepidolite, and Petalite, with associated quartz, feldspar, and muscovite.
Export Logistics
Our lithium ore is transported via road and rail networks to major ports such as Dar es Salaam, Beira, and Durban. We offer flexible bulk, containerized, or big-bag shipments tailored to customer requirements.
